3 Day Breakthrough Fast!

  • As we enter this special time of fasting from September 1st to 3rd, we will focus on spiritual renewal and preparation for the upcoming season. This fast coincides with Memorial Day weekend, so we’ve adjusted the fasting requirements to balance the spiritual discipline with the holiday activities. The fast will take place daily from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Fasting Guidelines:

  • Fasting Hours:6:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day.

  • Water-Only:During the fasting hours, consume only water. This period is intended for complete abstinence from food and other beverages.

  • After 12:00 PM:After the fasting period ends, you are free to eat whatever you choose. However, we encourage everyone to remain spiritually focused by increasing their scripture reading and prayer time throughout the day.

Daily Spiritual Focus:

Day 1: September 1st – Refocusing on God

  • Scripture:Matthew 6:33 – "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

  • Prayer Focus:Begin the fast by centering your heart on God. Use this time to seek His presence and guidance, asking for a renewed focus on His plans for your life.

  • Devotional Activity:Spend time in worship and meditation on God's promises. After 12 noon, set aside additional time to read scripture and pray, reflecting on how to align your life more closely with His will.

Day 2: September 2nd – Renewing Your Mind

  • Scripture:Romans 12:2 – "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

  • Prayer Focus:Pray for the renewal of your mind, asking God to cleanse it from any negative or unproductive thoughts. Seek transformation that leads to a clearer understanding of His will.

  • Devotional Activity:In addition to your fasting, commit to an extended time of scripture reading and meditation, particularly on passages that speak to mental and spiritual renewal. Use this time to journal any insights or areas where God is calling you to change.

Day 3: September 3rd – Recharging for what's ahead.

  • Scripture:Isaiah 40:31 – "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

  • Prayer Focus:Pray for strength and energy as you conclude the fast and prepare to move forward into the season ahead. Ask God to recharge you spiritually, physically, and emotionally, equipping you for what lies ahead.

  • Devotional Activity:Take time for a prayer walk or quiet reflection, focusing on God’s promises for your life. After breaking the fast at noon, spend extra time in prayer and scripture, thanking God for the renewal and strength received during this time.

May this time of fasting and prayer bring you closer to God and renew your spirit. We look forward to experiencing His blessings together.
